1 Camera

Error

✎Note: PIStudio supports both IP cameras and USB cameras. However, the currently available models do not support the USB camera function. Therefore, IP cameras should be used with priority. For function capabilities, please refer to the Function Limits table

In theory, IP cameras supporting H.264 and ONVIF can be connected to PI HMIs. Please ensure that the camera resolution and the camera object use the same aspect ratio as much as possible.

The following camera models have been tested and verified:

1) Hikvision

  • DS-2CD1321D-I
  • DS-2CD3T20FD-I3W
  • DS-2CD1221D-I3
  • DS-2CV3Q21FD-IW

2) Dahua

  • DH-IPC-HFW1025D
  • DH-IPC-HFW1235M-I1

2 Email

PIStudio supports email notifications. Contents may include text, alarms, and variables, and emails can be sent either by triggers or on a scheduled interval.

4 Remote Control

✎Note: The following solution is not recommended, as the related models(PI8000, PI9000, PI3000-O) have been discontinued for a long time. Please use the V-NET 2.0 Cloud platform and ig series HMI as the recommended remote access solution.

Here provides three solutions to remote control HMI.

Solution1: HMI must be PI8000 or PI9000 with -R. Remote control with WECON cloud server.

Solution2: HMI must be PI8000 or PI9000. Remote control by router. Detail information is as below link.

Solution3: HMI must be PI3000 with -O model. Remote control by HMI System Monitor. 

5 Short Message

✎Note: The SMS library is currently not supported on any currently available models. Please use the Lua SMS demo as the solution. For function capabilities, please refer to the Function Limits table

Extended a SMS module that must support AT command to communicate with HMI. Alarm information could be sent to users by short message, and users could control HMI by sending short message.

6 Multi-Link(V1.0)

Error

✎Note: This old version of Multi-link only supports General Series HMIs and i Series HMIs. For ig HMIs, please refer to the YouTube video PI9.0 Multi-Link for the Multi-link implementation.

The main purpose of this function is to allow duplicated HMIs to control the same project in the same LAN(Local Area Network).

7 PI8150ig Video Display

Information

✎Note: This function is only available in PIStudio V9.0 or earlier. For PIStudio V10.0 and above, please use the Media Player object. For function capabilities, please refer to the Function Limits table

This function is show PI8150ig's video playback, it is achieved by Custom object.

8 MQTT tool

This function allows users to connect to MQTT without writing any code by simply configuring a few addresses. This MQTT option is located in Data Tool (V9.0) or Function Configuration (V10.0 or above). For function capabilities, please refer to the Function Limits table
