1. Industrial Background
Tunnel fan is a special axial flow fan, which is mainly used in the longitudinal ventilation system of highways, railways and subways. When the tunnel fan is running, part of the air in the tunnel is sucked from one end of the fan, and after being accelerated by the impeller, it is ejected at high speed from the other end of the fan. However, because tunnel fans mostly adopt soft starter, the starting current of the motor is 5-7 times of the rated value, which not only causes large losses, but also has great impact on the power grid, such as mechanical wear and vibration. Moreover, using soft starter has the following disadvantages:
- The power frequency cannot be adjusted, so it is impossible to start clicking from zero voltage and zero frequency, and it is impossible to achieve zero impact start.
- Soft start cannot regulate the speed.
- Soft start exits the system after starting the motor and loses the protection function.
