How to solve Err02: Overcurrent during acceleration?
Panel display
Common causes of failure
The inverter detects that the motor cable current during acceleration is higher than the overcurrent value set by the frequency converter will report the acceleration overcurrent fault.
Common causes of failure are: Inverter acceleration time is too short, inverter and motor power mismatch, mismatch drive motor acceleration process motor sudden load, motor or cable there is a short circuit.
Solution
1. Fault current is greater than the rated current of the motor
- Check whether the inverter acceleration time is too short, extend the acceleration time F0.18.
- Check the label on the side of the inverter and the motor label parameters, to confirm whether the motor power and inverter power match. Inverter power is generally greater than or equal to the motor power, inverter rated output current is greater than or equal to the motor rated current.
Check whether there is a sudden increase of axial load on the load side of the motor, if there is, please rectify the mechanical part to minimize the phenomenon of sudden increase of load.
Check whether the motor connection and voltage level are the same (star connection motor rated voltage 220V, delta connection motor rated voltage 380V).
Change the inverter torque boost F4.01(reduce this value according to different loads, consult a technician for details).
2. Start that report overcurrent fault:This phenomenon is generally generated by the inverter on the power run, the motor did not rotate, you can simply determine the output side of the inverter there is a short-circuit conditions occurring.
- Remove the inverter U, V, W three-phase output line, empty running inverter, check the inverter no-load operation is normal.
- Inverter no-load operation if normal, reconnect the U, V, W three output lines, remove the motor terminals on the three cables and wrapped in insulating tape, whether the inverter can run normally without failing, if the failure continues to indicate that there is a short-circuit cable.
- the above two measurements are not a problem to dismantle the motor load empty running motor, if the fault remains need to find an electrician to measure the motor phase to phase resistance and insulation to the ground, generally small motors can be measured with a multimeter, large motors need to be measured with a resistance tester, or replace a motor for the unloaded test to find out whether the motor has a short-circuit phenomenon.
